Graduate DesignLive is being launched by Lu Junyi Design Live in 2021 after years of celebrating and showcasing the work of young Chinese design graduates flooding into the creative world. With the experiences gained and several attempts made, we have finally made this new platform possible.
We're kicking off the very first edition of Graduate DesignLive with the newly established Young Blood award. With an inevitable international outlook – the imprint of Shanghai which is where we’re based, Young Blood Award dedicates itself to nurturing both art school graduates in China and abroad. The thing we do differently here is that at Young Blood Award, the spotlight is being shared between Jury members, the graduates as well as the institutions & tutors of the awarded graduates. We will invite a selected group of designers from around the world who have gained prominence in their respective field of expertise in the broad spectrum of visual communication design. High level of industry involvement and high standards of work are the basis for our selection of jury members. Most of them have been involved in design teaching in some capacity and have good understanding of the criteria and what to look for in student work in particular when it comes to an award like this. Thanks again to our jury members! Of course, we will also have a chat with each talent about their graduation work, the challenges they have had, their ambitions and their source of inspirations. And all that is happening in a land that always welcomes the newly emerged, the cutting-edge and the left field of visual communication design circulating around the world.
Graduate DesignLive as a whole will serve as a virtual venue for an intensive transnational exchange of artistic ideas, bringing recognition to all participants through a series of live talks, interviews and publications in addition to the awards program.
展示与推广新鲜涌入创意行业的全球设计艺术院校毕业生的作品，陆俊毅设计现场已经持续进行了多年。基于多年来积累的媒体经验、知识和网络，经过一系列的不同栏目的尝试之后，我们向前又迈出了一步来探索新的中西方设计交流的可能性，于2021年推出Graduate DesignLive与大家见面。
不可遏制的全球设计交融，是Graduate DesignLive的出发点。我们将通过Young Blood Award项目来输出国际视角下的优秀华人毕业生作品。Young Blood Award的与众不同之处在于，评审团成员，毕业生和毕业生背后的导师与学校将共享同一盏聚光灯，带来放眼全球的设计视角与评选体验。Young Blood Award 设计评选会邀请到全球各地工作实践于视觉传播领域的先锋设计师与教育者组成评审团。他们是西方新涌现的、先锋、前沿的视觉传达设计背后不可或缺的贡献者，推动者，亦或是颠覆者。高水平的行业参与度和高标准的作品是我们选择评审团成员的依据。他们中的大多数人都以某种形式参与过设计教学，对评选标准和需要在学生身上寻找的东西有深入理解，也深知学生作品的特性。我们将与获奖毕业生深入交流其毕业项目创作中的灵感来源，所面对过的挑战、以及个人的未来发展。
Young Blood Award作为艺术思想交流的设计毕业生赛事，除了颁奖项目外，还将通过一系列的专访和出版物让大众感受东西方设计交流中或巨大或微妙的碰撞。
The annual Young Blood Award is aimed for design graduates both in China and abroad and is currently offered free for graduates to apply. The selection is conducted through various different categories. We strive to create an easily accessible platform where students compete for the reward they deserve.

Lu Junyi Design Live is a platform founded by Lu Junyi, a Chinese senior design media person and curator, graphic designer focusing on the dissemination of news and resources on graphic and Visual communication design to the public. As a media with 400K+ followers in China, we strive to lead the development of the visual communication design industry, promote the progress of design education in colleges and universities, and facilitate the growth of design talents around the world.
Tao LIN
Initiator, Art Direction
Tao LIN is an Austrian-Chinese Designer who graduated from ZHdK (Zurich University of the Arts) with a MA in Visual Communication. Currently working cross-culturally between Europe and Shanghai, Tao has an in-depth understanding of Chinese and Western culture, design, and design education. His works have been selected by TDC New York, Tokyo TDC, 100 Beste Plakate, Red Dot Design Award, China International Poster Biennale, GDC Design Award, and Design 360 Award, etc. Tao now runs independent design studio Tao Graphic Design and co-runs Doublehood Design Agency. He is also the design instructor at Class Tao.

陆俊毅_设计现场由资深文化艺术设计传媒人、平面设计师陆俊毅创办，是一个专注于传播视觉设计为主，涉及各领域多方位信息的公共交流平台。作为一个在中国拥有超过23万微信粉丝和21万微博粉丝的媒体，我们力求引领当下视觉传达的行业发展，启发高校设计教育的进步，关注全球各类设计人才的成长，并长期与国内外的协会组织、院校、展览赛事参与合作。

林涛，奥地利籍华人设计师，毕业于苏黎世艺术大学视觉传达专业。其常驻欧洲中国两地，对中西方文化、设计、及设计教育有着深入的了解。作品曾入选纽约TDC，东京TDC，德语区100张最佳海报，德国红点奖，中国国际海报双年展，GDC设计奖和Design 360奖等。现经营独立设计工作室Tao Graphic Design，联合设计事务所Doublehood及设计培训课程班Class Tao。
